Vitamin K1 or K2 in the diet or taken via supplement will counteract the effects of the blood thinner Coumadin; Both K1 and K2 should be avoided if you are taking Coumadin.
However, K1 and/or K2 may safely be taken the following blood thinners: aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dabagitran (Pradaxa), prasugrel (Effient), or rivaroxaban (Xarelto).
